Everything is in your power. Including your self-belief.
Imposter syndrome isn't something that you need to 'overcome' or fix. It's always going to be there, especially if you have high expectations of yourself. Instead, let's look at it differently. You just need to increase your self-belief.
Your business won't succeed without you. That's something I've learnt for myself, and it's something I always incorporate into my client's brand strategies and business mindsets. You are you, and that is so much more powerful than you realise. The self-belief you have is yours.
You are getting in the way of your own success.
Creating a brand is more than a DIY logo from Canva, or purchasing templates. Crafting the right brand involves a deep understanding of your audience, knowing what makes you different and stand out, being conscious of and living out your values across every touchpoint and being consistent across your language, messaging and design.
The honest truth? I’ve failed, a lot.
TGS is almost 4 years old. And turns out, you can never really know everything there is to know about running a business. And just when you think you've got it all figured out, surprise, the little back to reality nudge is a very humbling experience.
Rejection is redirection.
Fast forward two weeks after the proposal was sent, the client came back to us and said the quote was too expensive. And they wanted additional scope to be included, but also wanted us to reduce the price.
The client had lied about the budget available and wanted a full brand strategy, identity and collateral for less than what we were charging when TGS first started.
Stop attracting what’s not meant for you.
Just like in life, your business is in a constant state of creation. You are in a constant state of creation. There is no beginning, middle or end. You’re always in this state. But can you harness it? The Law of Attraction.
Imposter syndrome cost me thousands of dollars.
I had this overwhelming sense of well why should I be charging $10k for a client project? There’s so many other people out there that know more than I do, that are better than me and that who deserve to be earning that much.
It feels like I shouldn't be, because who the hell am I to tell you about imposter syndrome. I'm no expert. Of course I'm not. I'm just a business gal with a whole lot self doubt who feels the same way you do.

You f*cked up. Congrats!
It was all fine, of course. A little bit embarrassing, but not the end of the world. And it got me thinking…
