the brief
Laura was at crossroads in her business. Operating under two separate businesses, she wanted to consolidate and reinvigorate her personal brand. Incredibly passionate about the words she writes to move the human heart, she was struggling to articulate her brand in a visual sense.
“For the past 7 years, I've treated both of my businesses as accidents rather than entities deserving of my attention, energy, and strategy. I have stumbled my way through things like marketing, audience-building, social media, etc. I feel like I'm constantly reinventing myself and what I'm doing rather than having a streamlined approach inside of which every decision is made. In 5 years from now, when I go to launch a book I've written, I don't want to feel like I'm in the exact same place I'm in now: struggling to find my right audience, struggling to know what I stand for and why it matters and if anyone cares, struggling to know how to get it out into the world.”
So we created a brand coloured in contradictions, that demonstrates the complexity of life, of emotions, of humans and that is accessible for her to use on a daily basis, without overwhelm, complexity or difficulty.
Through a process of deep personal exploration on Laura’s side and intense visual research and brainstorming on how to bring together all sides of the human experience, we collaborated to create a mature, sophisticated and multifaceted brand that will serve her personal brand, business ventures and multiple passions effortlessly, for years to come.
