A personal brands just a lesson in vanity?

Personal brands are having a *moment* right now, and let's be real, they're not going anywhere.

I usually work with clients that are on the cusp of growth as they begin to take their branding seriously. Then, it begs the question, do I rebrand my business to be me, my name, my persona, or keep it as a business brand?

As vague as this sounds, it 1000% depends on your long term goals. There's pros and cons to both, and while it’s a similar process to brand either one, it really depends on your business, but alas, here's my two cents.

Personal brands are more personal relatable, but are highly dependent and require a lot of consistent effort.

Business brands allow for a bigger business model, but there's the potential downfall of losing your community's trust.

questions to ask yourself

If you're struggling to decide which direction to go in, dig deep and consider the future of your business.

  1. What do you want it to look like?

  2. How can you show up right now?

  3. What does either mean to you?

  4. What can you commit to now, and in the future?

And let me be very clear, like crystal clear, I do not think personal brands are a vanity project – in case there was any doubt.

Personal brands are important assets that can be leveraged to drive highly engaged warm audiences to your brand. It creates a genuine sense of connection, a relatability that only human - human can have and it allows business owners to show up and not hide behind their business. It forces visibility and presence.

So, which is right for you? Whatever you decide will be the right decision for you (and your biz) ❤️‍🔥
